HELB (Help Buy) is a peer-to-peer platform in Singapore that connects shoppers who want overseas items with travellers who can bring them back. Instead of paying for international shipping or proxy buyers, you request an item from someone already visiting that country, or shop what travellers are already bringing back.

A shopper posts a request or orders a traveller's listing. A traveller heading there accepts it or sends an offer. The shopper then pays HELB by PayNow or PayLah and uploads the proof. We verify it, hold the money, and open a chat so both sides can arrange the hand-over. Once both mark the request complete, the traveller is paid.

Shoppers pay a 3% platform fee, waived on their first order. On a fixed-price request it is included in the price you set. On a Top Up request or a listing order it is added on top and itemised before you pay. Travellers pay a flat $2 service fee per transaction, taken from their payout, which arrives by PayNow within 1–2 working days of both sides marking the request complete.

You get a full refund of what you paid within 1–2 working days. If a traveller cancels, your request goes back on the marketplace with your payment preserved, so you don't pay again. If a traveller goes quiet for 24 hours, you can relist it yourself.

Items that are cheaper, limited or only sold overseas: Japanese snacks and matcha, Korean skincare from Olive Young, Pokémon Center and Sanrio exclusives, streetwear drops, anime merchandise, and pop-up event goods.

Payments are held by HELB until the item is delivered, every payment proof is checked by our team, and both sides rate each other after completion. Contact details are blocked in public threads so deals stay on the platform. HELB has 3.8K users and is supported by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and BLOCK71.
